Our Fleet
This is what we own and what each piece is for. It is worth publishing because equipment decides a lot about a job that has nothing to do with the tree: whether a machine can reach the trunk changes the scope, the crew, and occasionally whether the work is worth doing at all.
What it does not decide is which work is right. That call gets made before any of this leaves the yard, and it is the part worth judging us on.
Trucks
Our primary fleet vehicles — each chosen for specific job roles.
Ram 5500 with Southco MP-12 Multipurpose Body
Medium-duty truck on a Southco MP-12 multipurpose body, for pruning, removal, and fuel-break projects where maneuverability matters. Most of the time it runs as a chip truck. The top is removable and it carries a tarp kit, so it converts to a 10-cubic-yard mulch delivery dump truck — the smallest of our bulk mulch loads.

Texas Pride 15-Yard Dump Trailer
Fourteen-foot Texas Pride dump trailer with four-foot side walls — roughly fifteen cubic yards. The middle of our three bulk mulch delivery sizes, and the one that pairs with the 18-yard dumpster box on a Switch-N-Go truck to make the thirty-yard combined load.

International MV607 Chipper Truck
Heavy-duty International MV607 with chipper body for large-scale pruning, removal, and shaded fuel break work. Higher payload than the Ram when the job produces tonnage of debris.

International Versalift 65' Bucket Truck
65-foot working-height Versalift aerial lift on an International chassis. Reaches the canopy on mature Central Texas live oaks and pecans where climbing would be slower or less safe.

Peterbilt 340 Grapple Truck
Peterbilt 340 carrying a LEMCO knuckleboom grapple loader behind a high-sided debris body, worked from a stand-up operator platform at the rear with the stabilizer legs down. The rotating grapple picks up whole logs and large sections without cutting them down first, so a removal that would otherwise be chainsaw work becomes machine work. The right rig for high-risk removals and storm cleanup.

Isuzu FTR Switch-N-Go
Isuzu FTR equipped with the Switch-N-Go roll-off system. Pivots from chipper truck to mulch hauler to AirSpade rig to spray rig in minutes — one truck, many jobs.

Ford F750 Switch-N-Go
Second Switch-N-Go chassis on a Ford F750 platform — higher payload capacity for the large mulch bodies and heavy-attachment configurations. Runs in parallel with the Isuzu across every service line.

16' Fence Trailer
A 16-foot tandem utility trailer with a custom-built centre mount that holds our 16-foot handy panels and T-posts. It stays loaded. Hook a truck to it and the crew is ready to install tree protection fencing on arrival — no load-out, no staging trip. On a construction site this is the difference between a builder waiting on us and a builder not waiting on us.

15" Bandit Wood Chipper (×2)
15-inch capacity Bandit wood chipper — handles large pruning and removal debris in a single feed. Primary chipper for our Ram and International chipper-truck rigs.

75-horsepower Bandit SG75 — our large-stump workhorse. Grinds through post-oak and live-oak stumps that smaller machines can't touch.

Top Notch .38 Special Stump Grinder
40-horsepower Top Notch .38 Special — a self-powered stump grinder that mounts on the attachment plate of the Giant G1200 tele-loader. The loader's boom and telescopic arm put it where a walk-behind grinder cannot go: raised garden beds set back from the travel path, the far side of a drainage culvert, awkward corners of a finished landscape.

Vermeer HG-525 Horizontal Grinder
The horizontal grinder in our yard, and the machine our bulk mulch product depends on: the mulch is chipper debris plus grindings off this machine, and the coarser single-grind product — bigger chunks, slower to decompose, better for making a trail than for mulching a tree — comes only off it.

Boxer 320 Mini Skid Steer (×2)
Compact tracked mini skid steer — fits through 36-inch gates, handles logs, stumps, and mulch around tight residential sites. Two in the fleet for parallel crews.

Giant G1200 Wheel Loader
Compact articulated tele-loader — a telescopic boom, not a fixed-arm wheel loader, which is the point: it reaches over and into places a machine its size otherwise cannot. Moves logs, loads mulch, shuttles large trees around planting sites, carries the Top Notch stump grinder on its attachment plate, and takes an auger attachment for small holes (the Yanmar Vio55 auger is the one for planting-size holes — Keith, 2026-07-29).

Tracked 60-foot aerial lift — a spider-style platform that drives through a gate and into a backyard the bucket truck cannot get to. It reaches over a fence too, but so does the bucket truck: the differentiator is ACCESS, not reach.

Interchangeable bodies and tool attachments — the heart of our Switch-N-Go system. One truck, many jobs. Swap a chipper body for a mulch dump, an AirSpade rig, or a sprayer in minutes.
Kaeser M58u Air Compressor Attachment
Truck-mounted Kaeser M58u compressor, mounted on the 300-gallon spray body alongside the spray rig — the combination that lets one truck air-spade and deep-root fertilize on the same visit. Delivers the CFM needed to run multiple AirSpades simultaneously on large construction sites, soil decompaction projects, and planting sites where underground utilities require careful excavation.

300-Gallon Spray Body with Kaeser M58u Compressor
A single Switch-N-Go body carrying both a 300-gallon spray rig and the Kaeser M58u air compressor. This is the combination behind the construction-site argument: one truck arrives and can air-spade a root zone and deep-root fertilize the same trees on the same visit, instead of two trips or two trucks.

600-Gallon Tree Sprayer & Root Feeder
600-gallon capacity tree sprayer + root-feeder body — a separate body from the 300-gallon spray/compressor combination, and it carries no compressor. Used for oak wilt macro-infusion prep, deep-root fertilization, preventive treatments on construction-site trees, and establishment watering for newly planted trees on sites without mature irrigation.

AirSpade Pneumatic Excavators (×4)
Four AirSpade pneumatic excavators for root-flare exposure, trenching around tree roots, soil decompaction, and utility-safe digging on planting sites with unknown or marked underground lines.

Hydraulic Auger Attachments — Yanmar Vio55 and Giant G1200 (×2)
Two hydraulic auger attachments, and they are not interchangeable. The Yanmar Vio55 auger is the one that drills dozens of clean, consistent planting holes far faster than hand-digging — essential for commercial installs, orchard projects, and neighborhood entry plantings where uniformity matters. The Giant G1200 also takes an auger, but it is only good for small holes. Confirmed by Keith 2026-07-29: 'I do have an auger for the Giant also, but it's only good for small holes. The Yanmar auger is better.' Copy about large-scale or uniform planting holes means the VIO55 auger.

What Equipment Does Not Tell You
A list of machines is the easiest thing in this trade to be impressed by and the least useful thing to choose on. Crew sizes are roughly comparable across the market and plenty of small operators run decent equipment. What varies is whether the person bidding can read the tree’s condition and work out what the right scope of work actually is.
So treat this page as an answer to can you physically do the job at my house — access, reach, what fits through the gate — and not as an answer to should this limb come off.
Where a Crane Comes In
We run a knuckleboom grapple truck, which lifts whole logs out of a canopy without cutting them down first. It is not a crane, and we try to be exact about that because the words get used interchangeably in this market. Where a job genuinely needs a crane, it comes from a partner.
